I'm playing with a new template for this blog, and somehow it won't post pictures.  I am most put out.

May is birthday season for Monkey 1 and Monkey 2, and it is always a huge cake festival.

Monkey 2 requested cat cupcakes to take to school.

 Delicious cupcakes all nekkid and yummy, waiting for decoration.

Each cake has icing, then coordinating sprinkles, with ready made icing from a tube.  I tried a few different kinds of eyes, but in the end settled on tiny marshmallows, snipped into thirds with scissors, and sticking the sticky side down on the cake.  I liked how the snipping squashed the slices slightly to make them eye shaped.

She loved the cakes a lot.  From all reports they were popular at school.

That is the sound of me blowing the dust off this blog. I haven't posted for a whole 12 months! This will not do. It is time to post the things that I have been making and the things that I have been thinking about again. Back to it.
